SEO Growth Audit

Diktamen has the content and the credentials. Now let search engines see them.

info.diktamen.com has 349 original articles, NHS framework places, ISO 27001 and case studies with named UK law firms. We crawled all 449 live pages. 213 of the 349 articles get no link from any menu, archive or other article, because archive page 2 returns a 404. diktamen.com reaches the site only through a temporary (302) redirect. Only 17 pages tell Google how the Finnish, English and German versions connect. Growth Complete rebuilds the site with all of this fixed and keeps every article, credential and ranking URL.

You publish more than most competitors. The problem is how the site presents it.

We counted articles URL by URL in each company’s sitemap on 3 November 2026. The competitors are the dictation vendors that came up most often across five searches for legal and medical dictation in the UK and Finland: SpeechWrite, T-Pro and BigHand.

Your sitemap asks Google to index 1,710 tag pages, against 84 real site pages. Each tag page we sampled lists a single article. That works out at about 6 tags per English post. Google spends its crawl time on these near-empty pages instead of your product and industry pages.

The library is good. Finnish publishing has nearly stopped.

Publication dates of all 349 posts, from the post sitemap and each article’s own markup. Only one pair of posts overlaps heavily, and only one post is under 400 words, so quality is not the problem. The Finnish pipeline is.

AI assistants can read your site. They just aren’t told what Diktamen sells.

Open door, unlabelled shelves

Every AI crawler we tested gets through, and you publish exactly the proof AI assistants quote: NHS frameworks, ISO 27001, MHRA registration and named clients. But the markup only says “Diktamen is an organisation”. Nothing describes the dictation software, the FAQ answers are not marked as FAQs, and several product pages have no headline.

We asked an AI assistant 7 buyer questions. Diktamen was named in 5.

Questions taken from your own services, asked in English, Finnish and German on 3 November 2026 with live web search on. No question mentions Diktamen by name. The two gaps match the two thinnest parts of the site: the English AI-scribe page and the German section.

Sources the answers cited most, other than your own site (cited in 4 of 7): en.wikipedia.org and reddit.com (6 answers each), arxiv.org and speechlive.com (4 each) Sampled. A plain web search for “Diktamen” returned dictionary entries, not your site Third-party. The brand name is also a common word, so the site has to tell search engines and AI assistants clearly which Diktamen it is.

Current SEO health: 63 out of 100

Twelve weighted dimensions, scored from a crawl of all 449 live pages (480 URLs fetched, including every sitemap page and post, discovered internal links and a sample of tag pages), a link graph built from that crawl, the full sitemap (2,181 URLs), redirect checks on every Diktamen domain, Lighthouse lab runs on four key pages, 7 AI-assistant questions and the homepages of three competitors. A cap applies because the English pages load slowly on mobile.

63out of 100

Strong substance, loose wiring

The content, proof and demo paths are good. What holds the score back is how the site is connected and labelled: most articles unreachable except through tag pages, broken pagination and menu links, a temporary redirect from the main domain, language versions that aren’t linked, and 5-8.5 MB pages on mobile.

349 articles NHS & ISO proof AI crawlers allowed 213 unlinked articles 404 in main menu diktamen.com 302 Languages not linked Slow English pages
Indexation and Crawlability56
robots.txt and the Yoast sitemap are in place, but the main domain only 302-redirects here, archive pagination returns 404, the sitemap lists a 404 (/palvelut/), dot-segment URLs and 1,710 single-post tag archives, and three German homepages are all indexable.
Metadata and SERP Presentation65
74 of 449 pages have no meta description (every German page), all three homepages are titled just 'Home', 293 titles run past 60 characters, 32 pages have no H1 and 11 have two. hreflang is on 17 pages only.
Structured Data and AI Readiness73
Clean Yoast JSON-LD on all 449 pages (0 parse errors), @types: Article, BreadcrumbList, CollectionPage, EntryPoint, ImageObject, ListItem, Organization, Person, PropertyValueSpecification, ReadAction, SearchAction, WebPage, WebSite. No SoftwareApplication, Product, Service or FAQPage. All AI crawlers get through.
Performance and Core Web Vitals50
Finnish homepage: mobile 73, desktop 86. /uk/ scores 49 on mobile with LCP 5.6 s, /uk/legal/ 41 with LCP 7.6 s. Pages weigh 5-8.5 MB, mostly LinkedIn-sized images; server response ~0.8-0.9 s. Poor-LCP cap applies.
Mobile UX and Accessibility60
Viewport, tap targets and font sizes pass; Lighthouse accessibility 88 on the homepage. 3,433 of 5,239 images have empty alt text. Capped by the slow English pages.
Content Business Value76
Strong industry pages and a 349-post library with almost no duplication, but key English product pages have no H1 or description, Finnish publishing has fallen to 3 posts this year, and every article is signed by an email address.
Search Demand and Intent Coverage61
Of 10 buyer questions: 5 covered, 3 thin (page exists but unlabelled or unlinked), 2 missing (pricing, comparison with other systems). AI answers skip Diktamen for UK AI-scribe and German clinic dictation.
Internal Linking and Architecture41
213 of 349 articles get no link from any menu, archive or other article - pagination is broken and only tag pages reach them. Menu links to /palvelut/ and two English pages are 404s, and ~45 internal links go through old category redirects.
Conversion Readiness87
English pages lead with Book a demo buttons. The Finnish homepage offers only 'Contact us' and never links to the Finnish demo page; no page has a clickable phone number.
Local Trust and E-E-A-T68
NHS frameworks, G-Cloud 15, MHRA registration, ISO 27001, DTAC/DSPT and case studies with named UK law firms are published. All 349 articles are signed by email-address accounts, and the site sends no HSTS header.
Competitive Gap58
Content volume is not the gap (265 English posts vs SpeechWrite's 96). All three competitors put the product in the homepage title and write a meta description; Diktamen does neither.
Analytics and Measurement48
GA4 (G-4SSMQNXF8G) loads on every page, but it fires before visitors answer the cookie banner, with no consent signal; no Tag Manager container, so demo-form conversions are not visibly tracked.

The hard part is already done

Most companies have to create this. Diktamen just needs it to be found.

Strength

A real, original content library

349 posts: 265 in English and 84 in Finnish. Across all of them we found only one pair of near-duplicates and one post under 400 words. Topics match what buyers ask, for example “Voice recognition vs AI scribes” and “The hidden costs of digital dictation solutions for law firms”. SpeechWrite, the most visible UK competitor in our searches, has 96.

Strength

Proof buyers and AI assistants trust

The English homepage shows DTAC, DSPT and ISO 27001. News posts cover your NHS framework place, G-Cloud 15, the RM6200 AI framework and MHRA registration. Case studies name firms like Farrer & Co, Bates Wells, Payne Hicks Beach, Taylor Walton and Hempsons, plus the Kanta-Häme and Lapland wellbeing regions. AI assistants already name Diktamen first for UK law-firm and Finnish healthcare dictation.

Strength

Clean foundations to build on

English pages lead with a Book a demo button on HubSpot forms. Yoast structured data parses without errors on all 449 pages, with correct breadcrumbs and language tags. Unknown URLs return real 404s, search-result pages are noindex, tracking-parameter URLs canonicalise correctly, and every AI crawler we tested can read the site.

Six moves that turn existing work into search visibility

Ordered by impact. All six are built into the new site from day one.

01
Internal links

Make the 213 hidden articles reachable

Each archive shows about 18 posts. Its “next page” link goes to /media/./<category>/page/2/, which returns 404, so older posts can only be reached through one-post tag pages and the sitemap. 213 of 349 articles (182 English, 31 Finnish) get no link from any menu, archive or other article. Working pagination plus related-article and product-page links give all of them a path.

02
Domains

Make diktamen.com a permanent redirect

diktamen.com and www.diktamen.com reach this site through a 302 (temporary) redirect, and http takes two hops. Deeper paths such as diktamen.com/uk/ return 404 instead of forwarding. diktamen.co.uk and app.diktamen.com are 302s too. A temporary redirect tells Google the move may not last, so the main brand domain’s signals are not cleanly passed to info.diktamen.com. A 301 that keeps the path fixes it.

03
Broken links

Remove the dead ends and old redirects

“Palvelut” (Services) on 36 of 38 Finnish pages goes to a 404, and that 404 is in your sitemap. /uk/meeting-ai-outputs/ and /uk/videos/ are 404s linked from all 335 English and German pages. About 45 internal links still use old /uk/media/announcements/ URLs that redirect, and three Finnish service links point at old product names.

04
Search labels

Title and describe every money page

All three homepages are titled just “Home” (“Etusivu”, “Home”, “Start”). 74 of 449 pages have no meta description, including every German page, /uk/legal/ and /uk/healthcare/. 32 pages have no H1, including the English speech-recognition, cloud dictation and ambient voice product pages. 293 titles run past 60 characters and get cut off in results.

05
Languages

Connect the languages and fix Germany

Only 17 of 449 pages carry hreflang, none have an x-default, and 5 of those annotations point at a 404, a redirect or a page that doesn’t link back. None of the legal, healthcare, speech-recognition or AI-scribe pages are linked across Finnish, English and German. Germany has three homepages, and six German-tagged pages (demo, contact, support, references and one homepage) are written in English.

06
Speed

Cut pages from 5-8.5 MB to under 2 MB

Lighthouse estimates 4.2-7.2 MB of image savings per key page. Most of the weight is LinkedIn-sized graphics, such as a 1,015 KB UK legal graphic and an 897 KB Finnish one. Static files are barely cached, the server takes 0.8-0.9 s to respond, and HubSpot plus Google tag scripts add about 390 KB to English pages. The /uk/ homepage takes 5.6 s on mobile before its main content appears.

136 → 349
Target: every one of your 349 articles linked from at least one archive page, product page or related article. Today 136 are. The articles already exist, so this is structure work, not new content.

What the rebuild fixes

Every count below comes from crawling all 449 live pages. Each issue is fixed in the new site. Current URLs are kept or 301-redirected so the pages that already rank keep their place. Covered in this plan.

!
Finnish Services menu link is a 404 — /palvelut/ redirects to /palvelut/tekstinkasittelyn-kokonaispalvelu/, which returns 404. It is also in the sitemap and is the Finnish hreflang target of /uk/solutions/. Covered in this plan.
!
Three German homepages — Keep /de/, then 301-redirect /de/home/ and /de/startseite/ to it. Neither gets an internal link, both are indexable, and /de/startseite/ has the English headline “From Audio to Intelligent Outcomes”. Covered in this plan.
!
Google Analytics fires before the cookie choice — Complianz is set to opt-in for the EU, but on / and /uk/ the page sends GA4 and Google’s advertising endpoint a hit before any answer, with no consent-mode signal. Worth reviewing with whoever owns privacy. The rebuild wires consent mode so the banner and tags agree, and fixes the data quality too. Covered in this plan.
!
Slow English pages on mobile — Lighthouse mobile: /uk/ scores 49 with the main content appearing after 5.6 s, and /uk/legal/ scores 41 at 7.6 s. The Finnish homepage scores 73. Covered in this plan.
!
Product and FAQ markup — Add SoftwareApplication markup to the product pages and FAQPage markup to the English FAQ (about 24 questions) and the Finnish FAQ. Covered in this plan.
!
“Muut toimialat” points at social care — The homepage “Other industries” button links to /toimialat/sosiaalihuolto/, while /toimialat/muut-toimialat/ exists. /terveydenhuollon-paattajille/ gets no internal links at all. Covered in this plan.
✓
Already right — HTTPS with a single 301 from http, real 404s for unknown URLs, noindex search pages, canonical tracking URLs, user list closed (401), xmlrpc off, a sitemap declared in robots.txt, error-free JSON-LD and open access for AI crawlers.

Competitors tell Google what they sell on the homepage. Diktamen doesn’t yet.

Homepages compared on 3 November 2026. We chose competitors from the dictation vendors that came up most often across five legal and medical dictation searches. Diktamen column = the English homepage /uk/ unless noted.

Rebuild the site in month one, then grow it

Recommended: Growth Complete — $1,299/mo, because the main blockers are in how the site is built (pagination, menus, redirects, hreflang, duplicate pages, page weight), and Growth Complete includes rebuilding it. If you would rather keep the current site and have your own developers fix it, Growth Pro ($999/mo) covers the content side.

Track A — Content, Local & Social

Turn the library into ranking pages

Included in Growth Complete and Growth Pro
Week 1-2
Titles, descriptions and one H1 written for every page that moves to the new site, starting with /uk/legal/, /uk/healthcare/ and the homepages.
Week 3-4
English pricing-explainer page and a “switching from BigHand, Lexacom or Dragon” comparison page.
Month 2
Link every article to its product page and to related articles; refresh the English AI-scribe page and restart Finnish publishing.
Month 3+
Ongoing articles in English and Finnish built around buyer questions, plus LinkedIn distribution.
Track B — Technical SEO

Site rebuild with the fixes built in

Covered in this plan.
Week 1
Map all 2,181 current URLs and write the redirect plan, so nothing that ranks today is lost. Move diktamen.com to a path-preserving 301.
Week 1-2
Rebuild in Finnish, English and German: one homepage per language, working menus and pagination, language versions linked with hreflang, product and FAQ markup, compressed images and consent mode.
Week 2-3
Move the 349 articles with named authors; leave the 1,710 tag pages out of the index.
Launch
301 redirects live, clean sitemap submitted, and Lighthouse re-run on the same four pages to confirm the mobile speed gain.
